Typical applications for hazardous substance analysis

Our analyzers can be integrated in a testing program for regulatory compliance, and support a wide range of hazardous substance analysis to keep up with safety and environmental legislation, including, but not limited to:

  • RoHS regulations: restrict the use of lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).
  • WEEE directive: promotes the collection and recycling of electrical equipment.
  • ELV directive: aims to reduce the environmental impact of automotive scrap.
  • EN71-3: specifies safety requirements for toys.
  • Halogen-free legislation: prohibits the use of halogenated flame retardants.
  • CPSIA: defines children’s products safety rules
