Webinar: Positive Material Identification in Industry 4.0 Environment

Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organized a Seminar on Positive Material Identification (PMI) in Industry 4.0 Environment in association with Hitachi High-Tech as the Knowledge Partner.

Positive Material Identification (PMI) is used to analyse and identify material grade and alloy composition for quality and safety control. PMI is widely used in the manufacturing industry as well as in inspection. Quality Control is essential in all companies but is critical to those producing materials, parts or components to high-reliability applications.

In today’s world where manufacturers have adopted Industry 4.0 practices and with Automation and Digitalization being the key buzzwords which have been intertwined in the current manufacturing set-up, this session will showcase:

  • Importance of PMI Quality Control in Manufacturing
  • Implementation of PMI in Industry 4.0 using cutting-edge technologies
  • Hitachi High-Tech’s toolbox is a solution for every purpose

The session was presented by Frank Theuws, General Manager for Global Distribution OES who has over 30 years of global experience in Optical Emission Spectroscopy.
